AWARDS: Lifetime member of Texas PTA, Top Ten Teacher in EPISD 1992,
Who's Who of American Teachers ( Twice Honored)
Welcome to my
5th grade class. I am very excited to have your child in my classroom,
and I have every hope that your child will be successful this year. As a
classroom teacher, one of my responsibilities is to help each child
make a satisfactory adjustment to life, both in and out of school. I
feel that a child's life is largely made up of the hours spent at home
and in school. Their feelings, their attitudes, their interests, and
their ambitions are the products of these two environments. In order
that your child
may not be frustrated and confused in their thinking, it is extremely
important that there is a close relationship between home and school.
Hopefully, we can establish an atmosphere of open communication. I ask
that you do not hide your concerns. Remember this is your school and
your child and you have a stake in their future. I am open to your
concerns, ideas, and suggestions.
I accept with thanks and with a deep commitment to do as good a job as
possible in order to justify the trust you have placed in me.
Thank you for your support,
